A man allegedly long ensconced in the illegal drug trade as with other crimes, was killed by authorities Thursday in Parañaque City following a fire fight.
The suspect was identified simply as “Tarat,” 28. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
Based on the report submitted by the Parañaque City police to the Southern Police District, the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. along Macapagal Avenue, Tambo, Parañaque City.
According to SPD Director Tomas Apolinario, prior, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) coordinated with them regarding a buy-bust operation targeting Tarat.
The combined team of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Station Intelligence Unit together with members of the PDEA were able to buy three pieces of small heat-sealed transparent sachet of shabu amounting to R300 from Tarat before the shoot-out.
It was Tarat who initiated the exchange of bullets, pulling out his .38 caliber when he sensed he was dealing with policemen.
