A 59-year-old incumbent lady village chief is now in critical condition after she was shot by an unidentified armed man on board a motorcycle on Saturday in Pasay City.
The victim identified as Teresita Biscocho, village chief of Barangay 1, Zone 1 in Pasay City, was under observation at the Manila Adventist Medical Hospital as of yesterday afternoon.
The unidentified gunman was described as about 5’5 in height, black complexion, heavy built, wearing black helmet, sunglasses, black mask, dark shirt and jeans.
The suspect was on board a red MIO scooter without plate number. Based on a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage acquired by police from Barangay 2, Zone 1, the victim was washing plates beside the barangay hall when the left-handed suspect shot her thrice.
The suspect fled toward FB Harrison Street while the victim was rushed to the hospital. She sustained gunshot wounds in the back of left ear, left arm, and two graze wounds on the abdomen. According to her friends, Biscocho previously received threats.
