LOS ANGELES – Jerwin Ancajas will take a break from boxing for a while to make up for his busy schedule the last 18 months.
Since winning the IBF jr. bantam title in Sept 2016, Ancajas has fought five times, the most recent a victory over Jonas Sultan in Fresno.
“Rest muna,” said Ancajas, who will drive straight to Cavite to reunite with his loved ones.
Sean Gibbons, his US agent, will line him up for a ring return in October.
Ancajas is the country’s lone world champion.
