TAGAL NG 20 YEARS: It took 20 years before Dingdong Dantes and Anne Curtis got a chance to act as partners in a film.
Although both jumpstarted their careers under Viva Films, they were separated by a five-year age gap that restricted them from being a tandem.
‘Back then, I played mostly support roles, sister to Antoinette Taus (Dingdong’s first loveteam partner), best friend to this and that,’’ Anne stated at the media launch of their first film together, “Sid & Aya (Not a Love Story).”
They got to work together years ago in the teen-oriented TV show, “TGIS,” where they were assigned different partners.
“Sid & Aya” is their first-ever big screen pairing. The long wait seems worth it. Their first film is described as hot, highly intriguing, with a secretive, mysterious, dark twist.

WANDERING NIGHTS:
Screenwriter and director Irene Villamor (“Camp Sawi” and “Meet Me In St. Gallen”) says it’s the story of a chance meeting between an insomniac (Dingdong) and a strange, mysterious woman (Anne) who spend nights together in conversations both silly and sublime.
Some of the movie’s important scenes were shot in Japan. Why was it important to shoot in Tokyo?
Villamor said the film is set in a few places there that don’t sleep. Against this backdrop wanders a couple of lost souls.
