The Land Transportation Office (LTO) launched during the week its first training on speed limit setting for local government units in the Bicol Region.
The Department of Transportation through the LTO-Region V opened the program last Thursday as one of the salient features of the Joint Memorandum Circular 2018-001 signed by the DoTr, with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Under the memorandum, the DoTr, through the LTO, shall provide training and information dissemination to city and municipal governments in the enactment of speed limit ordinances and road classifications.
The training, which was attended by representatives from cities and municipalities of Region V, was divided into two batches to accommodate all participants in the region.
