REAL LOVE THIS TIME: This time, they’re in a real love story.
Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio make up for love found and lost in their first big-screen team-up, “Almost A Love Story,” shot all the way from Italy. The young couple re-teams in the newly unveiled series, “Inday Will Always Love You” on primetime GMA.
Network said it was indeed a “bonggang” pilot for “Inday” as the program beat its rival show and dominated social media during its debut.
“Inday” posted a 42 percent overnight people share, according to Nielsen Philippines TAM’s National Urban Philippines data.

MODEL ACTOR: At the program’s media launch, Barbie, an award-winning actress, was heaped with superlatives by co-actors and her director, who called her a “model actor.”
She’s got the discipline, the drive, the dedication to her work, said Ricky Davao. The same observation was shared by Barbie’s costars, both young and old.
“Inday Will Always Love You” is another production under GMA News and Public Affairs. Note that the department has been active in launching entertainment programs of late. A spokesman explained their productions, although in the mode of rom-com, are anchored on promoting the beauty and culture of our regions.

PERFECT FOLLOW UP: “Inday” tells the story of a jolly Manileña (Barbie) suddenly thrust into Cebu, finding work in a lechonan. She crosses her boss, played by Derrick, a rich Cebuano bachelor.
Derrick and Barbie last worked together as a love team in the hit series “The Half Sisters.” They are joined this time by Juancho Trivino.
“Inday’s” support cast is just as star-studded: Ricky, Manilyn Reynes, Nova Villa, Gladys Reyes, Tina Paner.

MISS UNIVERSE IS CCP CHAIR: Margie Moran-Floirendo is the new Chairman of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Moran, former president of Ballet Philippines and former Miss Universe, produced the multi-awarded film “Bagong Buwan.”

PAUL SALAS A KAPUSO: Former “Starstruck Kids” Avenger Paul Salas has signed a management contract with GMA Artist Center recently.
GMA is lining up a reunion project with Paul’s “Starstruck” batchmates Bea Binene and Miguel Tanfelix.
