The Land Transportation Office formally launched over the week its online-based banking system where the public can pay all their LTO-related transactions in an electronic payment portal.
The new payment feature was included in LTO’s online personal appointment and scheduling system (PASS) where the public may book appointments for the application or renewal of their driver’s licenses.
This facility, which uses the electronic payment portal of the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP), further expands LTO’s online offerings and allows dealers to conduct payment assessments as well as actual payments over the web.
“LTO clients may now pay for all new registration transactions remotely through the online system initially in Metro Manila for a minimal transaction fee of R10 per approved transaction,” LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante said during the launching ceremony in Quezon City.
Galvante said that the e-Payment Portal eliminates several steps in the payment process which would make payment faster, easier and more convenient. (Alexandria Denise San Juan)
