Malacañang said the Philippines is ready to support any effort that will bring fruition to the historic summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong-un.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the recent summit in Singapore emphasizes the value of diplomacy and peaceful dialogue to achieve peace in the world.
“We welcome the landmark summit between US President Donald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore,” Roque said.
“This development, which has underscored in the strongest terms the value of diplomacy and peaceful dialogue, augurs well for the peace, security, and stability in the region and the world,” he added.
