Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde named new commanders of the Northern Police District (NPD) and the Eastern Police District (EPD) as part of the organization’s continuing reshuffle.
Chief Superintendent Gregorio Lim was reassigned as the acting district director of the NPD, replacing Chief Supt. Amando Empiso; while Chief Supt. Alfred Corpus took over the EPD, replacing Chief Supt. Reynaldo Biay.
According to Albayalde, the movements were part of his agenda to re-organize the PNP and “keep the right people in the right positions.”
Empiso was transferred to Lim’s former assignment as deputy regional director for operations at the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) while Biay was re-assigned to Corpus’ former position as deputy director for the Directorate for Intelligence.
