CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A 44-year-old manager and his family staying in a rented room in a resort were robbed by still two unidentified suspects Saturday morning in Barangay Bucal, this city.
Police reports said the family of victim Joseph Rodriguez Decena of Valenzuela, along with his relatives numbering to 40 persons, 15 were kids and four infants have rented the room of Villa Urbana Resort owned by Victoria Mendoza around 4 a.m.
The unidentified suspects wearing caps, bonnet and armed with handgun entered at the said resort and once inside at the victims’ rented room with forcibly took and carted away four cellphones, digital camera and cash money amounting to P10,000.
The investigation said the suspects fled boarded a black scooter. Calamba City police reviewed CCTV at the place and nearby establishments and set up dragnet operation. According to police investigators SPO1 Nicanor C. Panghulan PO2’s Fred Valencia Jr. and PO2 Jesus A. Fallaria, they were unable to lift the suspects’ fingerprints because the crime scene was already arranged and would-be shreds of evidence were contaminated.
