Police have seized some P1 million worth of shabu following a buy-bust that led to the arrest of a woman tagged as a high-value target on illegal drugs Saturday in Bacolod City.
Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, director of the Western Visayas regional police, said the operation stemmed from a successful transaction with suspect Myla Velano by local drug enforcement unit.
Local police then deployed cops near the Charito Heights Subdivision in Barangay Granada in Bacolod City where the purchase of shabu was negotiated and later resulted in the arrest of Velano.
Velano’s name has reportedly cropped up in the arrest of some illegal drugs personalities in Bacolod City. Aside from the marked money, also seized were 17 pieces of sachets containing suspected shabu with a street value of a little over R1 million and other illegal drugs paraphernalia.
