The Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) will stage this year’s Manila Bay Clean-Up Run on July 15.
The event seeks to provide “sustainable approaches” to the environmental situation the country faces, especially in the marine and the coastal areas.
The event has four distances – 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K – both in the men’s and women’s divisions.
The top finishers in the 21K, 10K, 5K, and 3K runs will receive P21,000, P10,000, P5,000, and P3,000, respectively.
The second and third placers will also get trophies and cash prizes.
Participants of the race will each get a loot bag and two Star City tickets.
Registration is ongoing at the MBC Lobby at CCP Complex in Pasay, Olympic Village Robinsons Forum, Gateway Mall, Festival Mall, SM Taytay, and the Olympic Outlet in Robinsons Antipolo.
Application ends on Saturday.
The race coincides with the anniversary celebration of DZRH, MBC’s flagship radio station and the country’s oldest surviving radio network.
The event has the backing of the City of Manila and Landbank.
