Another alleged drug pusher was killed in a shootout with lawmen during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City Sunday night, police said.
Case investigator PO1 Bengie Nalogoc said the slain suspect identified only as certain “Makmak,” died on the spot.
Anti-narcotics operatives led by Senior Inspector John David Chua launched a buy-bust operation after confirming Makmak’s involvement in illegal drug trade.
Makmak arrived at the meeting place on Centros Street in Barangay 63 around 11 p.m.
However, Makmak fired shots after he reportedly sensed that he was transacting with an undercover cop.
Back-up operatives returned fire, hitting Makmak in the body.
A .45-caliber pistol and 10 sachets of suspected shabu were recovered from Makmak, police said. (Kate Louise Javier)
