IMUS, Cavite – A man, who had been missing for two days in Imus City, was found dead off the shore of Kawit Tuesday.
The body of John Joel Narciso Quilla, 27, a resident of 241 Sarreal Subdivision, Barangay Bayan Luma VIII, Imus, was identified by a relative after the retrieval operation conducted by Kawit and Imus rescuers at 6:15 p.m.
PO2 Jason Bianes Murcia, officer-on-case, reported that Quilla was last seen being carried by strong water current along Julian River in Barangay Bucandala I, Imus, at about 12 noon Sunday.
Quilla was the first reported “habagat” casualty in Cavite province.
Governor Jesus Crispin C. Remulla has declared a state of calamity in the entire province due to the massive flooding brought by “habagat”. (Anthony Giron)
