ONE of the stars of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Alice Dixson, has apologized to Dingdong Dantes over allegations the show has been using an altered copy of his family’s photos in some of its scenes.
Alice said, “Humihingi ako ng paumanhin, Dong, if our production made a mistake like that.
“Kahit naman ako, if it was my wedding photo, ayoko naman gamitin ng ibang tao.
“If there’s other eksena na magagamit yun, I’ll make sure na they’ll do something about it.”
The veteran actress admitted she was surprised to learn of the issue.
“Hindi ko alam na picture nila ‘yun.
“Alam ko na-photoshop ‘yung picture ng face namin ni Edu (Manzano, who plays her husband on the series) sa isang picture ng mag-asawang ikinasal.
“But I don’t know anything about kung sino ‘yung pinalitan naming mukha.”
Soon after, the show’s production team also made public their apologies over the gaffe.
It said: “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano apologizes to Dingdong Dantes and his family and assures that there was no intent to disrespect or offend him and his family in the use of their photos in the program.
“The production team commissioned a third-party contractor to create the photo props used in the program.
“It was not aware that the original of the photographs used were those from Mr. Dantes’ wedding and the baptism of his daughter.
“The program is conducting further investigation to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future.”
Both apologies came after Dantes questioned propriety concerning the use of their photos.
