The suspect in the murder of a Grab driver last October escaped from the Pasay City Jail after destroying the ceiling of a stock room on the fourth floor of the prison Tuesday night.
The escapee was identified as Narc Delemios, 26, a member of the Batang City Jail who is facing charges of carnapping and robbery with homicide before the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 115 and murder before the Parañaque City Regional Trial Court.
Delemios was the suspect in the killing of Grab driver Gerardo Maquidato Jr..
According to the report submitted to Pasay City Jail warden Supt. Bernie Ruiz, Delemios escaped at about 8:05 p.m. after he forced open a cellar located on the fourth floor where Batang City Jail members are detained.
Senior Inspector Orlando Alicante, deputy warden of the Pasay City Jail, said the suspect exited through the adjacent roof of the Pasay City West High School.
Members of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) immediately conducted a manhunt operation and went to the house of Delemios on Don Carlos St. in Barangay 148, Zone 16, Pasay City. (Dhel Nazario)
