GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation arrested on Tuesday a policeman and two others for operating a cybersex den in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
NBI special agent Yehlen Agus identified the suspects as PO3 Ritchie Buca, assigned at the Tupi municipal police station, Jessa Penacerada, and Jemma Zarate who were arrested by NBI agents who swooped down an internet shop which served as a cyber sex den in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
The raiding team were able to rescue six girls including four minors while on the act of engaging in cyber sex.
NBI agents seized computer sets, web cams, microphones, credit cards, and an unregistered .45 caliber pistol from the suspects.
NBI regional chief Auralyn Pascual said the raid was conducted on the cybersex den after they received information that the suspects were recruiting minor girls to work as cyber sex models who will perform lewd show and acts for online sex.
The NBI had filed charges for child pornography, cyber sex, and illegal possession of firearms against the suspects.
Meantime, an alleged Communist New People’s Army (NPA) and three other rebels voluntarily surrendered to field troops of the Army’s 60th Infantry Battalion in Southern Mindanao, Capt. Jerry S. Lamosao, chief of Public Affairs Office of the Army’s Southern Mindanao 10th Infantry Division yesterday said.
In a phone interview, 10th ID-PAO officer said the alleged NPA commander and three of his members belong to the Sub-Regional Committee 4 of the CPP-NPA Southern Mindanao Regional Committee.
Identities of the surrenderees are temporarily withheld for their safety and security but Capt. Lamosao said two of them belonged to Ata-Manobo tribe in highland communities in Davao del Norte province. (Joseph Jubelag and Mike U. Crismundo)
