A FILIPINA as Victoria’s Secret Angel? Why not?
After Miss Universe 2012 First runner-up Janine Tugonon failed to make the cut as an angel for the international brand’s highly anticipated fashion show in 2016, Fil-Am model Kelsey Merritt could now possibly claim the title as first Filipina to do so.
An Instagram post by user @kelsey.angels showed Merritt among models who were confirmed for callbacks for this year’s show.
Note there is no confirmation yet from the brand itself but the Filipino-American already did a campaign for them in May.
Then again, Tugonon also appeared in a Victoria’s Secret campaign.
In case Merritt will be included in the final list for the show, she will be joining famous Victoria’s Secret Angels like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Lily Aldridge – a fine feat, indeed.
