ONLY a week after the Liberal Party (LP) mentioned him among possible senatorial candidates along with other celebrities like Agot Isidro, Leah Navarro, and Jim Paredes, Dingdong Dantes made clear he is not gunning for a senate seat in the upcoming elections.
Dantes made this explicit in a social media post with talent manager-writer-occasional actor Ogie Diaz volunteering support for him.
In response to a follower’s query that went, “Si Dingdong Dantes, tatakbong senador, okay ba sa’yo, Mama Ogs?”
Diaz said, “Oo naman. Sobra.”
But Dantes was quick to butt in.
”Salamat sa tiwala, Ogie. Pero hindi po ako tatakbong senador,” he posted.
And that’s that.
