SUSPECTED shabu valued at Php136 million was seized from a Chinese in a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Intelligence and Investigation Service, Special Enforcement Service, and PDEA-National Capital Region yesterday.
The 42-year-old suspect, identified as Lin Hua Sen based on his driver’s license, was arrested past 1 p.m. following a drug deal with a poseur buyer in a parking lot in front of a hotel on Roxas Boulevard.
Operatives recovered a huge olive green suitcase packed with at least 20 kilograms of shabu inside the suspect’s gray car.
The value of the illegal drug was estimated at Php136 million.
After marking of evidence, the suspect was brought to the PDEA headquarters in Quezon City for a press presentation.
Although he is able to speak and understand Filipino, personality and linkages of the suspect have yet to be determined as further investigation is on-going.
“Talagang dapat mahuli sila kasi ito’y makakadulot po ng di na maganda na resulta sa ating kababayan,” Manila Police District Station 5 (Ermita) commander Supt. Igmedio Bernaldez said on the growing number of Chinese busted for illegal drugs. (Ria Fernandez)
