Philippine team standout Alyssa Valdez erupted for 20 points as Creamline swept past Tacloban, 25-15, 25-21, 25-15, in the Wednesday night in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
The face of volleyball highlighted her game-long brilliance with 15 kills and five aces in leading Creamline to its first win in two games while handing the Warays their first defeat in three games.
Risa Sato fired eight of her nine points in attacks as the Cool Smashers overpowered their rivals in all departments including in spikes (40-22) and aces (8-1) as the Fighting Warays absorbed their first loss after back-to-back triumphs.
