Hi Ms. Rica,
Seven months pregnant po ako and I feel so aroused often that I just want to do it palagi. My husband’s scared of doing it but I really want to. Ano po ang pwede kong gawin?
Thank you,
Preggy Wife
Hi Preggy Wife,
Minsan, di talaga maiiwasan ang pagiging aroused kapag buntis due to the influx of hormones that you experience. Usually, ang pakikipagsex habang buntis ay okay lang at normal, unless your pregnancy is sensitive at pagbawalan ka ng iyong doctor. So if you’re going through a healthy pregnancy, wala naman kailangan katakutan. Sabihin mo sa asawa mo na safe ito! Pwede ka rin humingi ng go-signal mula sa OB mo para mapanatag ang asawa mo.
In addition, kahit buntis most sex positions are perfectly safe to do, it’s just a matter of preference or what feels comfortable for you, lalo na kapag malaki na ang abdominal area mo. Madaming mga babae ang nagprefer ng woman on top position para hindi gaano ang pressure sa abdominal area. If it becomes too uncomfortable, remember that sexy time is not just about the intercourse, you can also do different things and play around without going “all the way!” Kung hindi pa rin OK sa asawa mo, you can also release your sexual urges through masturbation.
Having said that, meron pa ring mga limitations dito. Some sexual activities are not be recommended when you’re expecting because it could put the baby at risk. For example, doing it from behind may introduce bacteria from your behind that could harm the baby. Kailangan din isipin na having sexy time while pregnant may not make you pregnant, pero getting sexually transmitted infections (STIs) could also harm the baby. To prevent this, you and your husband may use protection, or at least be sure that both of you are free from infections!
Other than those, being pregnant is the best time to feel sexy about yourself before all the baby stress and adjustments come in. So go ahead, enjoy yourselves and have lots of sexy time! #takeitfromthesexymind
With love and lust,
Rica
