Creamline sent BanKo-Perlas crashing back to earth with a 26-24, 25-13, 25-21 victory Wednesday night to forge a three-way tie for the lead in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Cool Smashers withstood the fierce challenge of their rivals in the opening frame before dominating them in the next two sets with an array heavy spikes and excellent combinations to extend their winning streak to five games.
Alyssa Valdez stood at the forefront of Creamline’s onslaught with 20 points highlighted by 16 kills to tie BanKo and Ateneo-Motolite for the lead at 5-1.
Ateneo-Motolite earlier survived Tacloban’s resilience with a 25-18, 19-25, 11-25, 25-17, 15-11 triumph.
