Tacloban snapped its four-game skid even as Iriga-Navy finally notched its first win on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Fighting Warays outplayed the fancied Pocari Sweat-Air Force Lady Warriors, 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 15-9 while the Lady Oragons survived the Adamson-Akari Lady Falcons, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-11.
Dim Pacres fired 18 kills and posted three blocks to finish with 21 points even as Heather Guino-o and Jovielyn Prado chipped in 16 points each for Tacloban, which clinched its third win in seven outings.
Pocari absorbed its second straight loss to drop at 3-3 in the middle standings despite Jeanette Panaga scoring 19 points and Del Palomata finishing with 16 points.
Meanwhile, Iriga-Navy jumped into the winning column after losing its first six matches with Grazielle Bombita pumping in 21 points including 18 spikes.
Nene Bautista and Joanne Bunag had 18 and 15 points as the Lady Oragons dealt the Lady Falcons their seventh straight defeat.
