National University (NU) inched closer to completing a six-match sweep after defeating Far Eastern University-Diliman, 25-22, 25-16, 25-22, in the UAAP girls’ volleyball on Tuesdayat the Blue Eagle Gym.
Reigning MVP Mhicaela Belen scattered 11 points as the NU belles remained undefeated in five games.
NU can sweep the elims with another win over University of the East tomorrow.
The Baby Tamaraws dropped to fifth spot with a 2-3 card.
Meanwhile, De La Salle-Zobel moved up to second place after blasting University of Santo Tomas (UST), 23-25, 25-11, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11, behind Angel Canino’s 32-point eruption.
