Fil-American Brandon “The Truth” Vera will make his much-awaited comeback on Nov. 23 when he defends his ONE heavyweight title at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay.
Coming off a two-year hiatus, Vera faces heavy-hitting Italian Mauro Cerilli in the main event of promotion’s final Manila event of the year.
“Brandon has been itching to get back in action to defend his heavyweight title for some time now, and I am thrilled to announce that he will be returning at ONE: Conquest of Champions,” said Chatri Sityodtong, ONE Championship chairman.
Vera has been undefeated since joining ONE Championship in 2014.
He became the inaugural ONE heavyweight titleholder by knocking Paul Cheng unconscious in 2015.
Vera’s last fight was two years ago that saw him retaining his crown over Japan’s Hideki Sekine via first-round technical knockout (TKO).
Since then, the 41-year-old took time out for the filming of “Buy Bust” with Anne Curtis.
The movie depicting the government’s war against drugs turned out to be a blockbuster.
