(The Arena, San Juan City)
4 p.m. – PetroGazz vs Pocari-Air Force
6 p.m. – Creamline vs Tacloban
Fancied Creamline seeks for a share of second place when it meets Tacloban today in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
Set at 6 p.m., the Cool Smashers aim for their seventh win in nine matches as they hope to tie the BanKo-Perlas Spikers.
The Alyssa Valdez-led squad are determined to bounce back from a bitter 25-18, 25-20, 15-25, 20-25, 15-12 loss to frontrunner Ateneo-Motolite last week that dropped them from the top spot.
A strong offense bannered by Valdez will still be the Cool Smashers’ main weapon, but they needed to keep their composure especially in the crunch to avoid another stinging setback like the last time.
Apart from Valdez, Creamline will also have Jema Galanza, Michele Gumabao and Jia Morado in front of its attack.
Like Creamline, Tacloban is out to recover from a four-set defeat to Iriga-Navy.
Dim Pacres, Mary Anne Esguerra and Jovielyn Prado are expected to lead the Fighting Warays.
Meanwhile, PetroGazz (5-3) and Pocari Sweat-Air Force (4-5) collide in the 4 p.m. opener.
