Piolo Pascual and Matteo Guidicelli along with Kisses Delavin head the roster of celebrities joining the Sun Life Cycle PH, a novel ride for beginners and bike enthusiasts on Saturday at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Around 1,200 bikers aged two and above are setting out for the friendly ride in three categories – the Kids Ride, Short Ride (20K) and Long Ride (40K) around Taguig, Makati, Manila and Pasay. The event is also aimed at promoting family bonding and encouraging people to live healthier lives.
Participants will also get the rare chance to ride with three-time Tour de France green jersey winner Robbie McEwen. The entire family will also be kept entertained during the weekend with a wide range of fun activities lined up in the cycling and lifestyle expo in the event organized by Sunrise Events, Inc.
The event also serves as part of the SunPIOLOgy, which incidentally will go regional as it brings its run leg to four Asian cities while holding three other sports to highlight its milestone 10th year.
After the Sun Life Cycle PH comes the Manila edition of the Sun Life Resolution Run with the SunPIOLOgy Tr10 to be capped by the Sun vs Stars duel pitting Sun Life employees with the Star Magic artists in badminton, volleyball and basketball on Jan. 26, 2019 at Camp Aguinaldo in QC.
Listup for the Sun Life Cycle PH is ongoing. For details, log on to www.sunlife.cycleph.com while those who would like to join the Sun Life Resolution Run, organized by Metro Ad Sports, may register at www.sunpiology.com or at the SM Aura, MOA, SM North The Block and Glorietta 2 branches of Toby’s.
The run event aims to raise funds for Hebreo Foundation, Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation, Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines and the Star Magic scholars.
Aside from its Manila staging, the Sun Life Resolution Run will also be held in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
