Taking stock of his many blessings following an unfortunate state of being sidetracked, JM de Guzman, one of our more gifted actors, promises to be more focused on work.

NEW, ENERGIZED JM: The new JM is more relaxed, less stressed, and even more handsome. He has taken on a new role as well in the film, “Kung Paano Siya Nawala.”
JM isn’t just the male lead in this film produced by TBA Studios, whose recent releases include “I’m Drunk, I Love You” and “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.”
He is billed as co-executive producer. Female lead Rhian Ramos is co-producer. Both actors say they were struck by the material, prompting them to invest in its filming.
In near future, JM sees himself directing. He’s currently co-writing what he calls is an exciting material with Bela Padilla.
JM was loved by moviegoers as the romantic hero in one of his last films, 2014’s “That Thing Called Tadhana.”
He has just wrapped a hit-charting series, “Araw Gabi,” on ABS-CBN. A new teleserye is being planned for him.

SINO KA NGA BA: Joel Ruiz, director and co-writer of “Kung Paano Siya Nawala,” says the film is a contemporary urban love story about letting go.
It marks his debut as a feature filmmaker following a successful career as director of TV commercials.
One of Ruiz’s more famous short films is #KwentongJollibee, which went viral.
“Kung Paano Siya Nawala tells an unusual story, presents a less heard of medical condition. The male lead Lio (JM) suffers from face blindness, a cognitive disorder characterized by inability to recognize faces.
He falls in love with Shana (Rhian), a beautiful free spirit with her own secrets.
Now screening in theaters, the film also stars Agot Isidro, Ricky Davao, Barbara Ruaro.
