Games Saturday (Cagayan De Oro)
4 p.m. – Creamline vs BanKo-Perlas
(The Arena, San Juan City)
4 p.m. – Adamson-Akari vs Tacloban
6 p.m. – Ateneo-Motolite vs PetroGazz
PetroGazz coach Jerry Yee is optimistic his players will produce their best game today as they battle league-leading Ateneo-Motolite in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
Another win for the Angels in today’s 6 p.m. tussle against the Lady Eagles at The Arena in San Juan City will assure them at least a playoff for the last semis berth – something that they badly need as two other squads – Pocafri-Air Force and Tacloban – are still in the hunt for the fourth spot.
Ateneo-Motolite sits comfortably on top with a 10-3 win-loss record while Creamline and BanKo-Perlas took the next two sports with 9-2 and 9-3 records, respectively.
“We needed victories like this,” said Yee, referring to their 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 triumph over BanKo-Perlas six days back.
Yee added the previous triumph did not only snap their two-game skid but also boosted his team’s morale going to their remaining crucial games.
