Caloocan subdued Manila, 116-102, to reach the North Division finals, while San Juan downed Pateros, 78-76, and advanced to the South finals of the Metro League Open basketball tournament at the Niagara Industrial Equipment Corporation gym.
Having made it earlier to their respective division finals of the tournament organized by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and supported by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) were Valenzuela, which defeated Quezon City, 111-102, in the North; and Taguig, which downed Parañaque, 84-78, in the South.
The finals are being played at presstime.
McArthur Enriquez and Kristoffer Torrado provided the 1-2 punch for Caloocan, which finished No. 4 seed and needed to beat top seed Manila twice to advance to the finals.
