TJ Cruz, the eldest son of actor Tirso Cruz III, passed away yesterday.
Veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis announced it on Instagram, claiming TJ suffered from lymphatic cancer.
Part of her Instagram post read: “…Kanina lang daw mada-ling araw bumigay ang panganay nila. Nakaka-sad talaga na iyon anak mo mauna sa iyo na kunin ni God. Ang bait-bait pa naman ng mga anak nila Tirso, sina Bodjie at Dyanin…
“Tulad nila Tirso at Lyn ang mga anak nila, very friendly at magalang. Sana ma-overcome nila ang sadness na ito. We pray that God will welcome TJ, sana forever his memories, his happy ones will always be remembered. We pray for you TJ. We pray for Tirso and Lyn, for the Cruz family, we honor your sadness, we will always be praying for you.”
The Cruz family has yet to release a statement on the matter as of this writing.
TJ was originally part of “Ang TV” in 1992. He is best known for his roles in “Eskapo,” “Rollerboys.” While his father and brother Bodie both remained in the entertainment scene, the late actor stepped out of the limelight in 2003 and pursued a career as a patient-experience-officer at a hospital.
