A JAPANESE tourist was drugged and then robbed by three women who befriended him in Manila last Tuesday.
Ryoji Nagai, 21, said three women approached him in a mall in Makati City on Nov. 20, and later invited him to a drinking spree in their house in Barangay 365, Sampaloc, Manila.
After consuming two bottles of beer, the victim felt dizzy and fell asleep. He woke up and left the place at 1 a.m. the next day.
Upon reaching his hotel in Quiapo, his mother called him, informing that ¥300, 000 had been withdrawn from his ATM card.
He then checked his bag and wallet and found that his money worth ¥50,000 and P20,000 as well as his JVC video camera amounting to ¥50, 000 were also missing.
The victim immediately went to the nearest police station to report the incident.
The complaint was referred to the Manila Police District – General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS).
When shown a rogues’ gallery, the victim was able to identify one of the suspects as Elma Rosero Matas, 36, a resident of Leveriza Street, Barangay 710, Pasay City.
Police alarmed all MPD stations to arrest the suspect. (Ria Fernandez)
