Four new teams have just joined the NCRAA, making the 26th season event more promising when the league starts on Nov. 27 at the Olivarez College Gym.
With the theme Unlocking Our Full Potential, this season’s leadership headed by its president Cesar Hagos of Olivarez College, long-time team executive and former Sta. Lucia Realty board governor Buddy Encarnado as general manager and newly-appointed commissioner George Magsino, the league opened its doors to Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna, Centro Escolar University, Immaculada Concepcion and Pasig Catholic.
The CEU Scorpions, mentored by veteran Derrick Pumaren, are currently taking part in the UCBL.
These four had taken over the spots of AMA University, New Era, University of Makati and TIP.
Olivarez College tries to make it back-to-back this season after winning the title last year.
The Olivarez Sea Lions and the Scorpions are two of the original teams in the fastest growing collegiate league.
