PROBINSYANA’ – At the media event of the fashion line Kamiseta, told Heart Evangelista she’d be a “probinsyana” by early next year, when her husband (Sen. Chiz Escudero) starts campaigning for governor of Sorsogon. “Yes, I enjoy going to province. I speak a little Bicolano.”
Heart says the people of Sorsogon have been very supportive of the Escuderos all these years, it’s time that Chiz returns to his roots. Before becoming senator, Chiz served as Sorsogon congressman.
Once a month the sophisticated Heart joins Chiz in travelling to Sorsogon, which she always looks forward to.

PAINTER – Aside from being an actress, Heart (Love Marie Ongpauco offcam) is also an accomplished painter, with well received exhibits in Manila and Singapore to her name. Her artistic gift is now seen in a full-blown clothing collection called LM for Kamiseta. It features prints from Heart’s paintings and designs that reflect her sophisticated style.
Heart’s love affair with fashion started ever since she was a little girl. As she grew up she realized that fashion is a powerful tool that gives her and other women confidence.
She explains that true beauty is not just about looking good on the outside but also feeling good about yourself on the inside.
She says that as an artist – and not an “artista” – she wants to be known as Love Marie, because “ …that’s the real me.”

SHOWBIZ – Of course, Heart isn’t quitting showbiz…there’s another time for that (soap,movie). In the meantime, she’s giving her attention to Chiz’s candidacy.
Heart knows there’s hard work ahead. Hitting the campaign trail is no picnic. It’s tough and tiring going from town to solicit votes. But as she earlier said she enjoys Sorsogon.
