A RETIRED police officer was killed in a broad daylight ambush pulled by two unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Pasay City Monday.
Police said retired Chief Inspector Roberto Razon, 52, a resident of Metro Real Rodriguez, Rizal, died at San Juan De Dios Hospital due to six gunshot wounds in the chest, arm, and body.
The incident occurred at around 12:09 p.m. at the corner of Diokno Boulevard and Coral Way Street near the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, according to police report.
Pasay City Police chief Senior Supt. Noel Flores said the victim had just gone from an inspection of security personnel at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City and was driving a black Toyota Vios with plate number AAY 2359 when he was killed.
Investigation showed that two men on board a motorcycle stopped beside the driver’s side of the vehicle and shot Razon multiple times before escaping.
The victim was in the company of two other passengers who were unharmed during the incident.
