Highly-touted Bobby Ray Parks just made himself available in the coming PBA Rookie Draft after submitting his application at the league office on Thursday.
The two-time UAAP and ASEAN Basketball League MVP was accompanied by representative Charlie Dy as the son of legendary PBA Import Bobby Parks make the first step in finally realizing his dream of playing in Asia’s pioneering pro league.
The application of the 25-year-old National University product brings to 34 the total of players who have so far made the draft list with the Dec. 3 deadline just a few days away.
Also throwing their hats to the draft are high-scoring guard Robert Bolick of San Beda, highly-sought big man Abu Tratter, triple-double machine Bong Quinto and Letran teammate JP Calvo.
San Sebastian hotshot Bong Calisaan, MJ Ayaay of Lyceum, former UAAP Rookie of the Year Kyles Lao of UP, Jose Rizal College’s Teytey Teodoro, and Centro Escolar’s Joseph Manlangit were the other latest notables to submit their applications.
Earlier, seven Fil-foreign bred players also submitted their applications led by former NCAA MVP CJ Perez and Trevis Jackson.
The other Fil-foreign players in the draft include Robbie Manalang, Matthew Salem, Paul Varilla, and Carlos Isit.
The qualified Fil-foreign aspirants based on their submitted documents and eligibility will be released by the league on Dec. 3.
On Dec. 12 and 13, all applicants will participate in the traditional Draft Combine, before the league released the final draft list for its 44th season on Dec. 14.
