Finally, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. is bringing his act to a much tougher field – the PBA.
Parks, son of the late Bobby Parks Sr., a former seven-time PBA Best Import, personally submitted his application yesterday at the league’s Commissioner’s Office in Libis, Quezon City.
In a Twitter post, Parks made the announcement of his decision to finally join the professional ranks, something that many basketball observers, particularly his fans, have been waiting for the past couple of years.
“AT THE PBA OFFICE MAKING IT OFFICIAL,” said Parks in his account @ray1parks.
The 6-foot-4 Parks is a former two-time Most Valuable Player in the UAAP with National University.
Back in 2015, the Texas Legends selected Parks in the second round of the NBA D-League Draft, and saw action for several games with the farm team of the NBA team Dallas Mavericks.
He returned to the country the following year with so much hype he was even included to the Philippine national team under coach Tab Baldwin that competed in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) here.
