University of Perpetual Help bounced back from an opening day defeat with a quick 25-15, 25-8, 25-16 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College in NCAA women’s volleyball at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Altas only needed 49 minutes in crushing the Lady Generals behind their superb plays – both offensively and defensively.
Aurora Tripoli and Jhona Rosal combined for 18 points for Perpetual, which overpowered EAC in attacks (35-15) and service aces (8-3).
Perpetual’s juniors and men’s squads also prevailed over EAC with the Junior Altas tripping the Brigadiers, 25-19, 25-12, 25-16, and the Altas cruising to a 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 triumph over the Generals.
Reigning Rookie-Most Valuable Player Joebert Almodiel and Ronniel Rosales combined for 20 points even as Ridzuan Muhali chipped in 12 points as the defending champion Altas notched their second straight win.
