A POLICE informant was shot dead Thursday morning by unidentified men while inside his car in Barangay North Bay Boulevard, Navotas City.
Police Chief Inspector Aldrin Thompson identified the victim as Domingo Panganiban, 52, businessman.
“Nagbibigay siya ng info sa mga awtoridad tungkol sa kalakalan ng pagpasok ng droga sa North Harbor Center para ibenta sa mga truck driver at pahinante,” Thompson said.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage showed that Panganiban was sitting in his car parked on the roadside as his helper, Romeo Almandres, 35, was unloading empty bottles of beer prior to the incident.
Later, two men riding a motorcycle arrived and shot the victim in the head, killing him instantly.
The gunmen then sped off towards C4 Road,
Two fired cartridge cases of unknown caliber were retrieved from the crime scene.
The victim’s body was brought to Eusebio Funeral Homes for autopsy.
