POPULAR actor Daniel Padilla caused a huge fuss on social media recently, posting a photo of himself standing over a STOP sign captioning it: “Huminto. Tumingin ng mas malalim. Tayo ang problema.”
Strange as it seems, especially coming from Daniel, many lauded the message, voicing support for change.
“Sama sama tayo lalaban para sa pagbabago kuya,” said one.
“Tama! Kung hindi tayo kikilos, sino? Simulan na ang pagbabago,” said another.
One netizen even tried to equal Daniel posting “Be the change you want to see in the world,” a quote usually attributed to Mahatma Gandhi.
Then again, there are those who questioned the timing of the post, pointing out how Daniel’s father, Rommel Padilla, is running for congressman in the 2019 mid-term elections.
There are others too, who deem the whole thing out of place.
“Masyadong pa-deep,” wrote one, while another asked, “Bakit?”
Some even teased the 23-year-old saying, “Daniel for president hehe.”
And there’s the netizen urging Daniel to simply focus on his career as with girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
“Nakain mo brad? Time flies really fast kaya seize the moment with her.”
But Daniel wasn’t swayed. He retorted: “Kailangan natin isipin ang lipunan kapatid. And yes. Time does fly.
