Winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will continue to bring warm and humid weather over the eastern section of the country in the next few days.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Residents in these areas are warned of possible flooding or landslide from scattered light to moderate rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience generally fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA asked the public to be alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Weather specialist Ariel Rojas said PAGASA does not expect the formation of a low pressure area or tropical cyclone within the next three to five days.
He said cold weather, associated with the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” will be felt by weekend, especially over Northern Luzon.
PAGASA has not issued a gale warning but it advised sea vessels of moderate to rough seas over the coastlines of extreme Northern Luzon and eastern section of the country due to moderate to strong winds originating from the east.
Only slight to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the country. (Ellalyn V. Ruiz)
