LIKE most, you’ve probably heard of people making it big on YouTube. Well, it’s actually true.
You might find it hard to believe but there are individuals who have earned fame via the platform.
Not only that, they also got rich, too.
We’re not talking about the likes of Charice Pempengco or Arnel Pineda. We’re talking about content creators who has since earned huge success doing what they do.
Take for example Ranz Kyle.
The 21-year-old is actually among more successful Filipino YouTubers with 5.9 million followers and counting.
Ranz is mum about it, but it is an open secret he is among top earners on the popular video-sharing site.
It helps that he has been on the platform for years, posting videos of himself dancing as a kid.
He has since branched out posting content like pranks, challenges, among others with his sister Niana, earning more money along the way.
How did he got his start?
If Ranz is to be believed, he actually got into the whole thing as a “hobby.”
“I’ve always been interested in filming and editing videos since I was a kid. It was always a dream to use videos as a platform to share my ideas,” he shared via e-mail.
He had no purpose other than simply to have fun while exercising his creativity.
“I really had no goal. I was just having fun making videos. But I got hooked. I love planning, conceptualizing, and executing my idea,” Ranz shared.
He was actually quite surprised with the reaction he got. Now he has to keep up with demand.
“I’ve been having a hard time doing so, actually,” he said. “I need to schedule and plan accordingly to be able to produce videos consistently. Good thing I’m very passionate about it.”
According to Ranz, anyone can be successful on YouTube.
“It all starts with an idea. Come up with something that people can relate to. Sometimes, we just bring out the camera and take it from there,” he said.
He takes inspiration from people around him inasmuch as he also takes in advice from followers.
And don’t worry if you’re not getting as many hits as you want at the onset.
As Ranz said, as long as you love what you’re doing, just keep at it and have fun. (NEIL RAMOS with report from Regs Parungao)
