Team Surigao I hung on to a 17-point lead over Che’Lus I in the Fil-A division of the 69th Fil-Am Invitational golf team championships presented by San Miguel Corp. Thursday in Baguio City.
Don Petil and Ramon Capistrano led Surigao’s balanced scoring with 29 points apiece and drew a pair of 28s from Ace Barbers and Lito Camo at the Camp John Hay course.
Surigao now has 323 after three rounds.
Che’Lus I matched Surigao’s third round 114 to remain 10 points ahead of third-running Mizuno-Power Systems.
Over at the Baguio Country Club, Forest Hills Palmer leaned on Edgar Lee’s 28 points to remain on top of the Am-A class with 319, seven up on San Miguel Corp. and eight on Mizuno X-1R.
The premier Fil-Championship and Am-Championship divisions took a rest day.
