A WOMAN, who was arrested last year for a drug case, was found dead with a lone gunshot wound in the head on Matambaka Street in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South, Navotas, Sunday night.
Chief Inspector Aldrin Thompson identified the woman as Lovelyn Xabdelario, alias Negra, 25.
Thompson said the victim was arrested in June 2017 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Xabdelario posted bail in March this year, he added.
Investigation showed that a certain Dygie Ofqueria Morula, 37, was walking along the street when he discovered the body. He immediately sought help from police who were patrolling the area.
Thompson said there were no available witnesses or close circuit television (CCTV) footageS around the area, making it difficult for police to identify the assailants.
The body was brought to Eusebio Funeral Home for autopsy. (Minka Tiangco)
