CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite — Mystery shrouds the fatal shooting on pre-dawn Friday of a man and two women at a vacant lot on BB2B Ondoy Extension in Barangay F. Reyes, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), police said.
The three still unidentified victims were mercilessly shot altogether in a lot by a gunman at 1 a.m. The gunman and his companions were no longer in the vicinity when barangay men and two reporting security guards went to the scene.
Police found at least 14 shells for a .45-caliber pistol near the bodies.
PO2 Bobbie Balazo, case investigator, said he was clueless yet as to the suspects and the motive of the killing as of noontime Friday.
“We don’t have suspects nor the motive, we are still investigating the incident,” Balazo told this reporter.
“The victims may have been brought in the area and shot,” he added.
All the victims could be strangers as no one could identify them in the area, it was gathered.
Balazo described the male victim as between 35 and 40 years old, about 5’5 tall and that he wore a white sleeveless underwear shirt (sando).
The two women were both between 25 and 30 years old, about 5’2″ and 4’ll’ tall and that one wore violet t-shirt and black shorts while the other a red t-shirt and black shorts.
All the victims bore bullet wounds.
Balazo said that the victims were shot in a dark lot with a nipa hut and row of shanties nearby.
Until 2 p.m. Friday, no one had come out in the open to render an account about the incident.
The investigator said that the two security guards namely Aries Gabriel and Rommel Medinilla reported the incident to barangay men upon hearing successive shots in the area.
Chief Superintendent Edward E. Carranza, Police Regional Office (PRO)- IV-A director, and Senior Superintendent William M. Segun ordered the chief of police of GMA to investigate thoroughly and render a progress report about the incident. (Anthony Giron)
