FIFTEEN people, including nine minors, were arrested after police allegedly caught them engaging in a drug session in Marikina City Thursday night.
Police identified the suspects as Art Cruz Viloria, 23; July Lyndon Lumadilla, 28; Jojo Arnais, 18; Gilbert Bertiz, 33; Nelson Ramos, 52; Delfin Castillo, 24; and nine minors aged 14 to 17 years old.
Investigation showed that at around 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, police received a call from a concerned citizen reporting an ongoing illegal drug activity in Barangay Tumana, Marikina.
Police proceeded to the area and caught a group of men and women having a shabu session.
The cops saw some members of the group in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Police recovered from the suspects six sachets of suspected shabu, a sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves, an improvised metal pipe, a disposable lighter, a transparent plastic and a weighing scale.
The suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the arrested minors were turned over to the city’s Social Welfare and Development Office. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas)
