A FORMER Philippine Marine officer and his companion were arrested Monday night in an anti-drugs operation in Pasig City.
Chief Inspector Allan Miparanum, Eastern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) chief, identified the suspects as Adonis Alipao, 48; and Dean Natividad, 48, driver, both are residents of Barangay Bambang, Pasig.
Miparanum said Alipao was a former Marine officer with a rank of corporal.
Investigation revealed that the anti-narcotics team conducted a buy-bust operation against the duo inside their house in Barangay Bambang, Pasig, around 10:30 p.m. on Monday
Police said a police poseur-buyer was able to purchase a sachet of suspected shabu from them.
After the transaction, policemen hiding near the area placed the suspects under arrest. Recovered from them were six sachets of suspected shabu and the P300 buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas)
