A blindfolded man with a concrete nail still embedded in his forehead and his feet tied with a metal wire was found stuffed inside a garbage bag floating in a creek in Novaliches, Quezon City, Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators of the Quezon City Police District said the man, described as in early 30s and with tattoos on the body, remains unidentified.
Witness Rodolfo Ruiz told police that he was urinating in a creek on Galvez Street in Barangay Sta. Lucia past 4 p.m. when he saw a suspicious black garbage bag floating.
Out of curiosity, Ruiz took the garbage bag out of the creek and was shocked to see the body inside.
He immediately reported the incident to barangay officials who relayed the matter to the police.
Probers said the victim, aside from the embedded nail in the forehead, sustained punctured wounds in different parts of the body.
The body of the victim was brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory for autopsy while investigation is ongoing to identify him. (Alexandria San Juan)
