HE Bureau of Immigration (BI) has ordered the deportation of a Japanese fugitive who is in the list of his country’s most wanted criminals.
BI Spokesperson Dana Krizia Sandoval said 59-year-old Misao Kaminsukasu, alias Misao Koyama and Takeshi Koyama, was ordered expelled by the three-man BI Board of Commissioners which issued on Thursday an order for his summary deportation.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente and Deputy Commissioners J. Tobias Javier and Ronaldo Ledesma signed the deportation order.
Kaminsukasu will be deported Friday afternoon via Nippon to Narita, Tokyo, three weeks after agents from the BI fugitive search unit arrested him at the corner of Roxas Blvd. and Gil Puyat Ave., Makati City.
“The Board also ordered his inclusion in the immigration blacklist of undesirable aliens, thus he is banned from re-entering the Philippines,” Sandoval said.
Kaminsukasu was arrested last December 18 after the Japanese government sought the BI’s assistance to locate and deport him so he could stand trial for his crime.
He had hidden in the country since Oct. 13 last year on a 30-day visa privilege.
Kaminsukasu was issued an arrest warrant by a Japanese court where he was charged for fraud and had scammed “billions of Yen from victims in Japan through his swindling activities.”
In a statement, Morente said “we were told that he is Japan’s most wanted fugitive, and catching him is definitely a huge success for the bureau.” (Jun Ramirez)
